Soul and Mind Youth Counselling Organization
The Soul and Mind Youth Counselling (SMYC) Organization, a non-profit organization, is based in Arusha, Tanzania. This private organization is dedicated to helping youth and school children to develop positive orientations with their behaviors and attitudes.
It also engages in building the capacity of parents and teachers by giving them the tools they need to correct children/students' behavior. The SMYC had been in existence for about five years since its pilot activities.
It has been conducting workshops, seminars, and face–to–face sessions, reaching more than 4400 school children and 102 parents since its inception. It has recorded youth and children's improvement in behavior and attitude.
These improvements have led to an increase in parents' and teachers' demand for services from SMC to support children, youths, and students.
